Many studies have shown a huge relation between fitness and wellness. The "Canadian Fitness And Lifestyle Research Institute " conducts studies, completes research projects and provides tools and training. They publicly post their findings online for anyone to view (www.cflri.ca). There are always many factors that play a HUGE role for FITNESS in our lives:

HOW , WHEN , WHERE ???



1. HOW ?

I'm going to summarize this because there is so much that can be written here.

  • Make it accessible for yourself : This can be done in many ways.. It might be, by creating more free space within your home to use for physical activity, it might be to include movement in with or in between other tasks, it might be to join groups and or events that you can incorporate into your daily or weekly routines.

  • Movement that works for you: Everyone is unique and has different preferences. When it comes to fitness, that is very much the same. Movement can be completed in so many different ways : YOGA, hiking, swimming, biking, dancing, strength/circuit training .. possibilities are endless here.. use your imagination and DO WHAT YOU LOVE!


2. WHEN ?


  • DO IT ON THE DAILY : Adding movement / exercise into your daily routine does not have to be difficult. Taking simple steps such as : dedicating 10 minutes each day to your favourite form of movement , creating goals and keeping track of activity, find what inspires and motivates you - write it down - look at it everyday!

  • Time of day : Whenever works best for your body. We are all different and lead different lives, utilize times where you feel the most energy.


3. WHERE ?


  • At home : Creating a space for exercise within your living area can be extremely beneficial for so many reasons. This factor also relates back to accessibility in the sense of; the easier it is to access, the more likely we are to complete it.

  • In the community : This could look like, an indoor facility such as a gym or studio, getting out in nature, this could be a team or group activity such as YOGA.

  • Online : Utilizing technology for fitness. Games such as Wii sports or following guided videos. Joining online classes from almost anywhere in the world.

NOW get up and GET MOVING
