  1. Yoga isn't for men.

SAYS WHO? Yoga is a mental and physical practice that was designed for the human body. Yoga can be performed by anyone almost anywhere. Yoga helps us strengthen our cardiovascular system while also increasing our endurance. Yoga provides the foundation of mobility and strength that everyone requires, while reducing anxiety and increasing body awareness.

2. Yoga is simply just stretching. Whoever says this clearly has never attended one of my classes! Yoga ASANAS were not only designed to help stretch the body, they teach us to connect our movement to our breath, they are used to strengthen and bring balance the body. Yoga allows us to CHOOSE OUR LEVEL. There are many challenging poses which incorporate simultaneous isometric muscle strengthening, balance work and stretching all in one! Yoga is a total body experience.


3. In order to do yoga you must be super flexible.

WRONG! That would be like saying " If I can't lift weights, I shouldn't workout". Practicing yoga consistently allows us to increase our functional mobility and flexibility. Keeping our body mobile, flexible, strong and healthy is something we are constantly looking to achieve. Yoga is a practice that allows us to work with our own unique body composition and just like anything else, practice makes progress.
